Cam Blake
Vancouver-based musician Cam Blake released his debut indie rock album (co-produced by Cam Blake and Sam Cutri of Perth, Australia) “Bad Vacation” on January 15, 2021 (Adagio Music/The Orchard). Cam toured Canada in support of the album and has played a number of festivals and showcases including the Barnside Harvest Festival, Khatsahlano Street Party 2023 and Kingfisher Bluez 15th & 16th Annual Christmas Party (opening for Peach Pit) in front of a sold out Rickshaw Theatre (2022) & Commodore Ballroom (2023). Cam Blake has now released his sophomore album 'SATISFACTION OF SAMENESS’ - an indie electronic record with elements of hyper-pop and industrial on May 3rd 2024 under Adagio Music Inc. (digital) & Kingfisher Bluez (physical).
FKA Raine
FKA Rayne is a rock singer and songwriter who has been creating waves in the Canadian and international music scene with her unique sound and performance chops. Pairing elements from her prior stint as a pop musician alongside heavy, industrial and nu-metal influenced production and song structure, FKA Rayne has a dynamic noise that draws comparison to acts such as ‘In this moment’, ‘Poppy’, and ‘Evanescence’.
Tiger Really
Starting out as a stupid pun on the name of a flower, Tiger Really has since become something like a life journal for Vancouver songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Lian Shao. Through confessional lyricism and symbolic wordplay, Lian documents the various events and people in his life with the aim of remembering how it feels to change, fail, grow apart, and love.
In a way, Tiger Really is a time capsule of emotions, expressed with a mix of influences from jazz, emo, punk and indie-rock. This strange combination of genres creates a melancholic yet energetic sound that gives listeners a peek into a moment of time, and delivers a very specific snapshot of feelings, frozen in song.
Tiger Really is set to release their debut full length album "Swan Sting" in spring 2024 with Counter Intuitive records.
Passion Mango
Passion Mango's sensitive, distinctly West Coast style reflects their Pacific Northwest hometown. The band consists of full-time members Connor Wilkinson (producer, songwriter, singer, instrumentalist), Dylan Iwaschuck (songwriter, singer, guitarist), and Josh Seaman (songwriter, bassist), with live contributions from Luke Hurd (guitarist, bassist) and Seb Berberich (drummer). The band originally formed in December of 2022. They released their debut album Honeymoon Phase in the Spring of 2023, followed by EP Garden Party that summer. In late 2023, a video featuring their single Boy went viral on TikTok, amassing over 2 million plays on Spotify and bringing thousands of new listeners to their page. Passion Mango's sound finds influence from many genres (including grunge, shoegaze, punk, folk, hip-hop, etc.) but is mainly rooted in indie and alternative rock. Their music inspiration ranges from Peach Pit and Fleetwood Mac to Nirvana and Title Fight (whom they've been compared to with release Boy). They write their music from an honest and emotional place, touching on themes of grief, addiction, mental health, disillusionment, and the optimistic hope of love. Wilkinson and Iwaschuck's songwriting is not afraid to make you cry with one song and then get up and dance on the next track.
